The Surgeon General's report on parent burnout highlights the need for increased support and tools for providers working with caregivers. One of the most common sources of parent stress is caring for a child with emotional/behavioral difficulties. Led by faculty from the University at Buffalo's Psychology Department, this worksop will offer training in evidence-based strategies for professionals working with caregivers and/or youth across the developmental specturm. In addition to learning about how to address burnout, participants will have the opportunity to hear from experts on topics such as promoting social-emotional growth at home and school, managing challenging behavior in young children, and talking to teens about alcohol/substance use.
